Of the many firsts at IGA, an international TV image campaign on all Turner Networks, a nation-wide private label broker advisory council and a three-year marketing program with Coca-Cola which included sponsorship of the women’s softball team at the Olympics and NASCAR affiliation. Realigned management team in conjunction with newly established president’s advisory council for strategic positioning and procurement operations.

Senior Vice President , Food Marketing Institute (1976 - 1991) FMI is the supermarkets’ international trade association with members in 60 countries. Served in various management positions; membership, state associations, trade and manufacturer relations, media and trade press activities, marketing and regional field office operations. Liaison to the Western Association of Food Chains’ board of directors for 10 years and recipient of the Founders Award from MAGA (Mexican American Grocers Association). Presented before every state grocer association’s board of directors and facilitated various “share groups” of regional supermarket chains and independents.

Diversified experience during college years in Washington, DC, worked for the FBI and held political appointments in the Nixon Administration and as legislative assistant to the Minority Leader of the US House of Representatives. Represented Connecticut General in the areas of estate and corporate financial planning.

Personal: Resident of Chicago, Illinois. Active in various civic and charitable organizations plus extensive travel and health club activities. A Premier Society Member of The Goodman Theatre and supporter of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. Married with twin boys.
